Septic, and world-renowned campaigner for the rights of pyromaniac Nazis everywhere, Professor PZ Myers, has galloped gallantly to the defence of a 15-year-old British school student whose been busying her freetime by burning some Good books lately.
Whilst, ahem…categorically not a Nazi himself, of course (nervous cough), “Any” his Eminence pontificates “act meant to incite hatred should be opposed…by more free speech, not jail.”
Half a mo’, let’s just (in the popular vernacular of our dear cultural leaders) *run* that one by us again, eh sweet pea?
“ANY ACT MEANT TO INCITE HATRED SHOULD BE OPPOSED…BY MORE FREE SPEECH, NOT JAIL.”
Hmmm…here’s the man with the purported ‘freedom of speech’ ethic yet, curiously, on his self same site – voila – you’ll find one of the largest, most thoroughly policed cyber bastilles on the internet!
Or t’would this noble maxim not be afforded to us ‘undesirables’ but purely to the many Nazis whom you continue to favour by deferring upon them the dubious privilege of infesting your (de)famed blog?
Oh well, at least cardboard freedom fighters are as bio-degradable as the books they bury.
